Historique en quelques lignes: On le surnomme The Beaver State (l'État du Castor), l'oregon est devenu un Etat de USA le 14 février 1859. Les premiers habitants de l'Oregon furent les Amérindiens en tribus: Bannock, Klamath, Chinook et Nez Percé. En 1803, le président Thomas Jefferson envoya 2 explorateurs , Lewis et Clark, à la découverte des nouveaux territoires, dont l'Oregon. Dès 1830, des missions viennent coloniser les territoires de l'Ouest. L'Oregon se développe et devient état en 1859.
